Seattle University: Bob Woodruff
Friday, July 15, 2011, 7:00 – 9:00pm
Great Hall; enter on 8th Avenue

In January 2006, just after being named co-anchor of ABC News’ World News Tonight, Bob Woodruff was seriously injured by a roadside bomb while reporting in Iraq. Thirteen months later, Woodruff returned to ABC News with a documentary chronicling his traumatic brain injury, his painstaking recovery, and the plight of thousands of service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with similar injuries. In this event, Woodruff will speak about the needs of our nation’s veterans and their families, especially those of the post-9/11 era, many of whom are experiencing homelessness. Presented by the Seattle University Center for Strategic Communications’ Project on Family Homelessness.
